Happy Birthday to one of my biggest inspirations, Dr. Seuss

March 2nd would have been Theodore Geisel, or Dr. Seuss, 105th birthday! To celebrate his impressive life I dedicate this time to reflect and share his story. Learn more about the man most notable for his timeless children's book, that seemed somewhat adolescent, although it is anything but. Please set aside an hour of your time and educate yourself on one of my favorite illustrator/writer's of all time.

"Most people know Dr. Seuss as the man behind 'The Cat in the Hat.' But how many know that 'Yertle the Turtle' was modeled after Hitler--or that Dr. Seuss created WWII political cartoons that denounced racism, isolationism and other issues of the day. 'The Political Dr. Seuss' reveals how popular children's author Theodor Geisel advocated social change, teaching generations of children not only how to be better readers, but better people as well."
