Unfortunately I will not be making it for the opening reception, but if you're able to attend, I would highly suggest it. I absolutely adore his work. Check out his show with Ed Fella in 2008, Two Lines Aligned.

What does a Nun, Pop Art and Valentines Day all have in common?

Come spend this Valentine's Day weekend with your favorite radical pop art nun from the 60's, Corita Kent. The retrospective art show, "Passion For the Possible: The Work of Sister Corita", opens this Saturday afternoon from 1-4pm at the CSUN Art Gallery and is curated by Aaron Rose (director of the documentary film Beautiful Losers) with cooperation from the Corita Art Center. Not only will you see an amazing collection of Corita's art, but you'll also be able to hand-silkscreen your own Valentine's presents while being serenaded by an all ladies choir featuring Zoey Deschanel conducted by Lavendar Diamond's Becky Stark with musical arrangements by Flea. All with enough time to spare for your Valentine's evening plans. And in addition to this special show and our film's premiere, 2 other short films on Sister Corita which were expertly made by Baylis Glascock during the 60's will also be screening.

I don't know a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon?
Free food, Colt 45 and live music in the Hollywood Hills.
We were told they were at capacity, but in the end persistence paid off and we made it in the last of the last event shuttles.
Finally we made it passed the gates with attitude.

Lee Smith, Thuy Nguyen (greengrownandsexy.com), Jupiter & myself.
If you look closely you will find downtown
in the midst of our lovely LA smog.
Cool kids.
No ages.
Gaslamp breaking the beats down in his fluffy head.

Tetherball, Napoleon style, got to love it.

Grub.

Hit & Run Silkscreen booth.

You work that yellow girl.

Storyboard sequence of me feeding my new pet.
Reenactment one of my favorite scenes in Half Baked...
In case you don't know, now you know, check it.

Maaaxing and relaaaxing Caaali style.

Gotcha!

Wife Beater, Double fisting, Motorhead and a Fuct Tee.
What more could a lady ask for??

This is getting serious.

Saying goodbye to my LA.

What is this? It's puuurty.

Apparently yellow was the color of the day.

Let's call it day with class.
