American Dreams Pop Up in London

LONDON – Imagination in Space launches American Dreams, a New York City art pop up at 14 Warren St., southeast of Regent’s Park. American Dreams features signed originals and prints from America’s most creative illustrators. Our artists are young, ambitious and proven, creating private commissions for Fortune 500 CEOS and work for Angry Birds, The New Yorker, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Tate Modern, Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa and Miike Snow. Imagination in Space artists are a new generation who see the whole world as their canvas. Canvas, paper, newspaper, tour bus, storyboard, doesn’t matter. These illustrators attack every medium, including social where they’ve attracted almost a quarter-million followers. For ten days in October, Imagination in Space brings their original work to London. The American Dreams opening night is Thursday, Oct 17 (7-10pm), and we’ll follow up with a life auction on Tuesday, Oct 19 (8pm). American Dreams is open 14 Oct-24 Oct from noon-9pm daily.

American Dreams artists include Sam Spratt (Angry Birds, Miike Snow, Wiz Khalifa), Adam Turnbull (Grooveshark, Harvard Business Review, Businessweek), Wendy MacNaughton (New York Times, Wall St. Journal, NPR), Rich Tu (Alfa Romeo, Bombay Sapphire Gin, New Yorker), Yazmany Arboleda (Tate Modern, Afghani Minister of Culture, Akiyoshidai), Cameron R. Neilson (Forbes, Marriot, Starwoods), Alex Eben Meyer (Businessweek, Wall Street Journal, New York Times), Soosan Joon (Vince Camuto, Cortez Groupe), Erik Maniscalco (British Gas, Oxygen Network, Octagon Marketing), Carlos Ancalmo (Google, Barbarian Group, Cornerstone), Aaron Frisby and Ryan Keeley (Kendrick Lamar, Red Bull). Over the next few weeks, we’ll be featuring each artist on our site, sharing their stories and admiring their hustle. Every piece of art work at 14 Warren St. is signed by the artist, and prices for originals start at £300. Explore the work.
American Dreams is open daily from noon to 9pm and private viewings are available 24/7 with 48 hours notice. If you prefer a private viewing at your home or workspace, we are available by appointment from 7am-11pm with 24 hours notice and a transportation supplement. Imagination in Space will schedule, hand-deliver and install your original, signed work anywhere in the London metropolitan area. For a good cottage pie, we may come out into the country :) . Should you find in a few years that you are unhappy with your purchase, Imagination in Space will happily be your secondary market.
American Dreams partners include East Street ArtsKEMPlondonspoon+forkTest SpaceMade in the Lower East Side and One of a Find. Our prints come from New York City’s Duggal Printing. Our originals come directly from the artists and all materials are listed on our art menu online and in front of the store at 14 Warren St.

14 days, 14 drawings: DAY 7

Day 7: July 3

Solo City Walk:

Barcelona's architecture is so interesting, nearly all the buildings have balconies and about every other block you would have these massive intersections. The circular roads would encompass monuments, fountains and greenery- so beautiful, but man would it take you a long time to get around the city.

The oh so infamous Antoni Gaudi.

Sara, my sis.

Loving the bathroom signage at La Vabo.

Came back to the very same falafel place, Maoz, near the hostel I stayed in 2002. I then realized they are all over the city, haha.

Espana wins again!

We snack and drink Moritz, Barcelona's locally brewed beer.

Marni's roomies and friend.

Weird bar table I still have no comprendo?

Bar sketch of Marni and some girls:

Remember, cigarette vending machine? Do we still have these in the states?

Wilding out on our walk home with that winning high!

"Buy Gold," always.

Casa Suenos Casa.

Coolest elevator.

...and I'm out!

14 days, 14 drawings: DAY 6

Day 6: July 2

Agis Sitges:
Beautiful beach just south of Barcelona.

Drawing of the Hotel.
A little girl, about 6 yrs young, saw me drawing and shortly after asked her mom for a pen and paper and did her own "drawings" in sync with mine. Super sweet.

Quick Sketches.

Relaxed and Sun-drenched. Trainin' it back into the city.

Home-cooked meal, thanks to my super host:
Streaming the world cup game with Guyana. What a game-super emotional.

Woo, Woo! Only time will tell.

Buenas Noches Barca...

14 days, 14 drawings: DAY 5

Day 5: July 1

6:30 am breakfast, sleepwalking to watch my girl off to Austria.

Quick drawings at the airport.

Barcelona:

Marni, a sweet friend from LA who took me in for 10 days!

Catalan Cuisine:
Bread with olive oil & rubbing of fresh tomato, grilled squid & potatoes with mayo-based dip, allioli

Tapas Bar.

Grilled Octopus:
I asked for limes and the waiter wouldn't give it to me, well at first- He was so insulted, but damn I'm Persian we always have limes with our food.

Baby Prawns.

Taxi cabs numbers, good idea!

Am I wasted, or is that bridge crooked??

See they do love New Yorkers!

Tiki Bar, I suppose.

Goodnight Barca!
