Canteen Magazine's 3rd Annual NYC Gala Benefit

Please support Canteen Magazine and their Harlem tutoring program on Thursday, October 6, in Brooklyn Heights. Due to popular demand, they're once again holding the annual fundraiser in the inspiring, art-filled home of Brooklyn Museum director Arnold Lehman!

This year, we are honoring artist Kehinde Wiley.

Enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres courtesy of Crave, drinks courtesy of Bulldog Gin and master mixologist Justin August Fairweather, literary fortunes by authors Ben Greenman and Lauren Mechling, and portraits by artist Soosan Silanee.

For more information visit Canteen's website HERE.
To PURCHASE tickets visit HERE.

Get your tickets today - this event always sells out!

Ray Johnson: New York’s most famous unknown artist.

“Founding Father of Mail Art" and one of the best collage artists in my opinion.

"All aspects of his death, revolved around the number "13". His age 67 = 6+7=13, the room number at his hotel was 247 which adds to 13, the date: Jan 13, etc." People believe his suicide was his final performance.

A clip of his memorial show after his suicide in 1995, HERE.

Check out this wacky artist and documentary, How to Draw a Bunny, HERE.

Drawing of the Hotel.
A little girl, about 6 yrs young, saw me drawing and shortly after asked her mom for a pen and paper and did her own "drawings" in sync with mine. Super sweet.

Quick Sketches.

Relaxed and Sun-drenched. Trainin' it back into the city.

Home-cooked meal, thanks to my super host:
Streaming the world cup game with Guyana. What a game-super emotional.

Woo, Woo! Only time will tell.
